These incredible copper wall sculptures were made by Hanes Hoffman Jr. of Wilmington NC. All of the pieces are three dimensional and one sided. He draws each piece by hand and then cuts it from the copper sheet. He pounds for hours until it takes on the shape he wants. Then he cleans each piece and hangs it in a device to paint all the markings and colors with flame. Finally, the pieces are sealed to protect them from oxidation.
