About the Artist: As an artist, Barbara Jordan studied Color Theory and Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. Her art is inspired by the mystery of Nature's icons and spiritual symbolism from around the World. Each work is crafted in copper, a magical element with a unique set of properties - depending on how it is heated, welded, nailed, enameled or molded. She has nailed design elements into sheet copper and "painted" the copper with a butane torch, to evoke an array of colors, hidden within the metal.
