This photo was submitted by Mark Dietzel of Freeburg, Illinois. These lovely handcrafted roses were created from 5 mil/ 36 gauge copper.
At Dietzel's company, The Anniversary Rose they handcraft roses from all sorts of material for wedding anniversaries so that there is a rose available for each of the traditional categories of gifts such as cotton for the 2nd year and wood for the 5th, etc. Copper is used for the 7th and 8th years. The traditional gift for the 7th anniversary is copper, thus copper roses, and the traditional gift for the 8th is bronze, and for that they craft copper roses and give them a antique bronze finish.
